Dark Secret Real Life Story

Dark Secret Real Life Story

Well this incident is of 2011. I am from a town in Bihar. My summer vacation had just started. I studied in Northeast. That day I reached the railway station at night at 0100. I called my mother that I would be home within an hour and she didn't need to bother and didn't need to send father to pick me up. As I was heading outside the station, heavy rains started and as I was using the rear gate and it hardly has any shade, I needed shelter from rain. So I ran to the only autorickshaw which was there and put my luggage in and shifted myself too. The driver was asleep. I woke him up and asked if he could take me to my locality, he agreed. He seemed totally fine. He was not drunk, he was physically fit, he was humble with his words…. I only want to say that he was totally right. He started the vehicle with a jerk and the journey started. The vehicle was jumping on random breakers and due to blowing wind and bucketing, my whole left half of the body was wet.
Now let me tell you about my locality. It is somewhat crowded and barely planned. So streets just start somewhere and end somewhere. There are no streetlights. The electricity supply was not very frequent that time. One of the landmarks of my locality is a house, a politician's house, an MLA from ruling party.
Now whatever I told you till now, doesn't hold a pinch of secret. Everything was just fact or a pile of random happenings. Now let us come to the main incident which still gives me chills.
The autorickshaw neared my home, we were off the main road, on the narrow streets of my locality. My home was still 250 metres from there. After just 200 metres, the vehicle stopped near that MLA's house. I looked at the driver curiously. I had heard auto drivers driving passengers to isolated places during nights, threaten them and loot their money. It was not an isolated place but heavy rains could easily stop my voice from reaching any nearest ear. I got frightened, but only for a few seconds. My mind started working on how to tackle this guy. The driver was fit but not as fit as me. My school used to give some military and combat training too so it could be an easy job for me to take him down, of course not against a knife or a gun and I could not even run away as my luggage had some documents which I could not afford to lose against a shitty looter. But then I realized, 'why this driver will want to loot me in my own locality?'. Is he nuts?
The driver got down in the rain. I looked at him puzzled. I checked his hands, empty. I too got down and asked him his problem. He simply shook his head and walked up to the gate of the MLA'S house. There was no guard there. He sat down and started murmuring something. I found it creepy. I didn't use to believe in God or ghosts but this was a lot frightening. I went near him. The murmuring stopped. He closed his eyes peacefully and just sat there against the gate. I slapped him lightly to make him conscious but in vain. I tried for five minutes to wake him up but in vain. Then I froze at that thought. I checked his pulse, he was dead, I tried every part, wrist, neck, the nerve on the side of the eyes, his heartbeat but NO! He was dead. I took out a hundred rupees note and put it in his shirt pocket. I was badly frightened. I took my luggage from the autorickshaw and ran with it up to my house.
My mother could have thought that I ran from the main road to home but she figured it out that there was something else. I told her the whole story. She told me to wash myself first. Then I narrated the story to my father. He told me not to take tension and told me to sleep. I could not sleep whole night.
Next day there were people, lot of people surrounding the MLA's house but these politicians always have their way out of this so he was not bothered much and nothing ever came in any newspaper about that driver. The local people were told that the driver died of heart attack. Maybe that was the truth. But I still get creeps from that incident.
